The MAK Mystic Expressions website introduces visitors to their natural health products, including Himalayan salt crystal lamps, feng shui lamps, tea lights and more.
Challenge
MAK Mystic Expressions was a start-up business when Apropel was contacted. They had no web presence in Calgary and a limited marketing campaign. Apropel was tasked with creating a website that would:
- showcase MAK's products

Wild Rose Brewery is a craft brewery that produces quality bottled beers and draught ales available to beer lovers in dozens of centres in Calgary and across Alberta.
Challenge
Wild Rose Brewery had an existing web site that needed re-design and new, fresh content that would:
- provide a new look that supports Wild Rose's brand
- drive traffic to their website & provide a pleasurable user experience
- entice browsers to visit the brewery and buy their products
Apropel's Solution
Apropel provided a design concept that was both eye-catching and functional. The new colours and original artwork used in the website supports Wild Rose's existing logo and brand assets. At the same time, a multi-level navigational scheme and directed content was employed to help customers find target pages (products and brewery directions).
Search engine optimization (SEO) results: Two target key phrases, 'Calgary Brewery' and 'Wheat Beer', within one month of publishing the new site (tested on July 5, 2007), produced results for each search on the first page of Google.
